Katherine "Kat" Joines is a dedicated physical therapist and educator who brings a wealth of expertise to Accessible Adaptability. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from The College of St. Scholastica and a Doctorate of Health Science from A.T. Still University. She also holds a Master's degree in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor's in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Kat is a certified Pediatric Certified Specialist through ABPTS and has additional training in early intervention, education, and neurodevelopmental disabilities.
With over two decades of experience in pediatric physical therapy, Kat has held diverse roles, including running her own business, directing a clinic, and serving as a staff physical therapist in the Early Intervention Program in Las Vegas. Currently, she has transitioned from her role as an Associate Professor at Touro University and now works with the Clark County School District. She also works as a clinical instructor, where she enjoys mentoring future physical therapists. Her leadership extends to serving as an advisor for the Nevada Physical Therapy Board and as the Chair of the ACAPT Awards and Recognition.
Kat's collaborative and goal-oriented approach empowers clients and their families to become their own advocates. Originally from Australia, she has lived in Las Vegas since 1992. When she's not working, she travels nationwide to support her six children's ice skating pursuits. Kat is thrilled to join Accessible Adaptability, where she can share her passion for helping others and enhance accessibility for clients and colleagues alike.
